To start therapy, all you need to do is email admin@talktherapyservices.ca or call our office (519) 790-0997, and based on your needs we will connect you with one of our qualified mental health professionals.
At your first session your therapist will start by asking what has brought you to therapy and explain their style of therapy and see if you feel that they will be a good fit for you. Please ask any questions you may have, as your therapist wants you to feel as comfortable as possible. If your therapist asks you something, and you aren’t comfortable sharing, that is okay. Just let your therapist know you aren’t ready to talk about it. As you feel more comfortable with your therapist, you will be able to open up more.
All of our mental health professionals offer a free 15-minute consultation, this allows you to ask questions, and get a feel for what therapy will be like, which makes the experience much less intimidating and more empowering.
