How do I start Counselling?
To start therapy, all you need to do is email firstname.lastname@example.org or call our office
519-319-8037, and based on your needs we will connect you with one of our qualified mental health professionals.
What can I expect from Counselling?
At your first session your therapist will start by asking what has brought you to therapy and explain their style of therapy and see if you feel that they will be a good fit for you. Please ask any questions you may have, as your therapist wants you to feel as comfortable as possible. If your therapist asks you something, and you aren’t comfortable sharing, that is okay. Just let your therapist know you aren’t ready to talk about it. As you feel more comfortable with your therapist, you will be able to open up more.
What if I am not sure if I am ready for therapy?
All of our mental health professionals offer a free 15-minute consultation, this allows you to ask questions, and get a feel for what therapy will be like, which makes the experience much less intimidating and more empowering.
How can counselling help me?
Counselling can help you by giving you a safe space to vent, reflect, learn coping skills, communication skills, and foster resilience. Counselling can help you heal from a traumatic event, or cope with negative thoughts, stress, anxiety, and depression by using practical tools that will help you grow personally and professionally.
Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
Yes, research has shown that online/telephone therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy.
What are the counselling rates?
Individual Counselling $130 per session (50 minutes)
Couples Counselling $150 per session (50 minutes)
Family Counselling $150 per session (50 minutes)
Home Visits $200 per session (50 minutes)
